Today was a shorter day - 53 miles - with 40 miles of that on the Interstate.
There's wasn't a lot to see, here in the Sonora Desert, but there were some things to do.
One of the SAG stops was at an Interstate Rest Area, so Hance went and found a geocache:
Toward the end of our ride we had to stop to note the 'Welcome to Gila Bend' sign:
Coming into Gila Bend, most everyone stopped at Sofia's Mexican Food restaurant, for a good, authentic lunch (well recommended):
We had a 'six-pack' of shredded beef soft tacos.
And when we got to our camping place at a KOA, we found some authentic cactus as well:
And finally, another beautiful Arizonan desert sunset:
Along the way, Hance had a flat tire, making the score now Anne: 3 and Hance:2.
We both upgraded our back tires while in camp, to try and reduce the number of flats.
Overall, it was 53 miles at an average speed of 13.8 mph, with a maximum of 18 mph (it was a very flat ride).
