Coast 2 Coast - Day 8 - Arizona City to Catalina State Park

The night and the morning in Arizona City were cold! When we woke up it was 38 F. It's not easy getting on a bicycle when it's cold. But we bundled up and got going.

Needless to say, it warmed up into the mid 60's once the sun was fully up, and most of the cyclists shed many of their layers at the first SAG stop.

It was a slow day for many of us today, with a bit of a headwind, some rough pavement, and some tired bikers from the previous day's 88 mile ride.

But there was some nice scenery, including the Picacho Peak (seen from behind) and the flowers by the roadside:

Further, we found a random sculpture garden:

At the end of the ride we got to the Catalina State Park:

And went to our 'Tent City':

Overall, it was 57 miles, at an average speed of 10.5 mph, with a maximum of 18 mph.
